Day 1: Cusco – Capuliyoq – Chiquisca – Marampata

  • 03:00: Pick-up from hotels and hostels in Cusco.
  • 07:00: Breakfast in Capuliyoq (not included).
  • 08:00: Begin the trek with a 3-hour descent to Chiquisca.
  • 11:30: Lunch in Chiquisca and short rest.
  • 12:30: Continue descent to Apurímac River and cross the bridge.
  • 13:30: Uphill ride on horseback from Playa Rosalina to Marampata (approx. 4 hours).
  • 18:00: Arrival at the Marampata campsite.
  • 19:00: Dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Marampata – Choquequirao – Marampata

  • 04:30: Early breakfast.
  • 05:00: Hike to Choquequirao (approx. 2 hours, 4 km).
  • 09:00–13:30: Guided tour of Choquequirao archaeological complex.
  • 13:30: Lunch at the Choquequirao esplanade.
  • 16:00: Return hike to Marampata.
  • 18:00: Arrival and rest.
  • 19:00: Dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Marampata – Chiquisca – Capuliyoq

  • 06:00: Breakfast.
  • 07:00: Begin descent to Chiquisca (approx. 3 hours).
  • 11:00: Lunch and rest in Chiquisca.
  • 13:30: Horseback ascent to Capuliyoq (approx. 3 hours).
  • 16:30: Arrival at the final campsite in Capuliyoq.
  • 18:00: Dinner and farewell to the team (cook, muleteer, guide).

Day 4: Capuliyoq – Cachora – Cusco

  • 07:00: Breakfast.
  • 08:00: Optional 2-hour hike to Cachora village.
  • 10:00: Return trip to Cusco by minivan.
  • 14:00: Arrival in Cusco.
