Condor Chonta Canyon
Overview
Enjoy the breathtaking flight of the Andean condor in its natural habitat with the Condor Canyon tour in Chonta from Cusco. This full-day experience offers the rare opportunity to observe the largest flying bird in the world, sacred to the Incas, soaring above a deep canyon framed by the stunning Andes.
Along the way, visit archaeological sites such as Killarumiyoq, a temple dedicated to the moon, and Tarawasi, a ceremonial center built by Pachacutec. Then hike to the Chonta viewpoint, where you’ll witness condors returning to their nests during the afternoon.
