Day 1 – Trek to Aguas Calientes

  • 04:30 a.m. Hotel pick-up in Cusco
  • Transfer to Tambomachay
  • 05:00 a.m. Start trek from Tambomachay
  • 08:30 a.m. Reach highest point, Pumamarca Pass (4,200 m)
  • 10:30 a.m. Lunch by Qoricocha Lake
  • 11:30 a.m. Resume trekking
  • 01:00 p.m. Guided visit to Huchuy Qosqo ruins
  • 04:00 p.m. Descend to Lamay (≈2 hrs)
  • 05:30 p.m. Transport from Lamay to Ollantaytambo
  • 06:30 p.m. Arrive at Ollantaytambo train station
  • Board train to Aguas Calientes
  • Check-in at hostel and briefing by guide

Day 2 – Machu Picchu & Return

  • 04:30 a.m. Hike to Machu Picchu entrance
  • 06:00 a.m. Guided tour of the citadel (2.5 hrs)
  • 08:30 a.m. Free time for photography and exploration
  • 10:30 a.m. Descend to Aguas Calientes
  • Free time for lunch (not included)
  • 04:40 p.m. Train back to Ollantaytambo
  • 06:30 p.m. Transfer to Cusco
  • 08:00 p.m. Arrival at Plaza San Francisco, tour ends
