Day 1: Cusco – Lares – Wacahuasi

  • 05:00 AM: Pick-up from your hotel in Cusco and transfer to Lares (approx. 4 hours).
  • 09:15 AM: Arrival at Lares. Visit the medicinal thermal baths.
  • 01:00 PM: Lunch by the hot springs.
  • 02:00 PM: Begin hiking to Wacahuasi (approx. 3 hours).
  • 05:00 PM: Arrival at Wacahuasi campsite.
  • 07:00 PM: Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Wacahuasi – Ipsaycocha Pass – Patacancha

  • 07:00 AM: Breakfast.
  • 08:00 AM: Hike to Ipsaycocha Pass.
  • 12:00 PM: Lunch by the lake.
  • 01:30 PM: Continue hiking to Patacancha village.
  • 04:00 PM: Arrival and camp setup.
  • 07:00 PM: Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Patacancha – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes

  • 07:00 AM: Breakfast.
  • 08:00 AM: Hike to Ollantaytambo.
  • 12:00 PM: Lunch in Ollantaytambo.
  • 04:36 PM / 07:27 PM: Train to Aguas Calientes (based on availability).
  • 06:10 PM: Arrival and accommodation at a local hostel.
  • 08:00 PM: Dinner and pre-Machu Picchu briefing by the guide.

Day 4: Machu Picchu – Cusco

  • 04:00 AM: Early breakfast.
  • 04:30 AM: Hike to Machu Picchu (optional bus ride available).
  • 07:00 AM: Guided tour of Machu Picchu (approx. 2 hours).
  • 09:00 AM: Free time to explore or visit Huayna Picchu (optional).
  • Return to Aguas Calientes.
  • Train back to Ollantaytambo (based on ticket time).
  • Transfer from Ollantaytambo station to your hotel in Cusco.
  • Approx. 08:00 PM: Arrival in Cusco, ending at Plaza San Francisco.
