The “Choquequirao” trecking starts at 3:00 am. with the pick up of the group members, in the different hotels or hostels. Once the pick-up is finished, we move to Capuliyoc (4 hours Approx), there you can have breakfast (not included). After breakfast, we will start the adventure.

In the course of Capuliyoq towards Chiquisca, you can enjoy the amazing view of the Apurimac Canyon and the snowy Padrelloc. For three hours, the road is all downhill to Chiquisca, and there you have lunch and a short time to rest.

For an hour, the road continues to descend until the Apurimac River, which is crossed by a bridge. After the bridge, the road is all uphill to Marampata (4 hours Approx). This section will be done on horses uphill. Already in Marampata, they will have dinner and time to chat with the group and your guide.

Day 2 starts very early, beginning to walk at 5 am with some snacks that will be delivered before you start walking. The section of Marampata towards Choquequirao is 4 km (2 hours Approx), already in the archaeological zone of Choquequirao, we will have a guide in charge of the tour and free time to explore. We will also have lunch in the esplanade (open area). All this until 4:00 pm, at which time the return march to Marampata (camping area) is resumed. At the campsite, we will have dinner and time to chat with the rest of the group.

On the third day after breakfast, we begin the trek to Chiquisca, with a time of three hours of descent and an hour of ascent. Crossing the Apurimac river again, we continue the ascent in Caballos. In Chiquiska we will have lunch and time to rest, finishing lunch and a short rest, the walk to Capuliyoq is resumed, with an approximate duration of three hours. Most of the path is uphill.

In Capuliyoq after staying in the camping area and washing up, the last dinner will be served and time to chat about the experience and also to say goodbye to the team that accompanied us during the route (cook, muleteer)

The last day begins with breakfast. This time not so early as we did on our hike. At this time, a proposal from the guide to the tourists, to make the journey from Capuliyoq to the town of Cachora ( optional ), which takes an average of two hours of travel.

We board the minivan and return to the city of Cusco, arriving at approximately 2:00 pm.

Day 1
Cusco – Curahuasi – Capulilloq – Santa Rosa- Marampata

03:00 am. Transfer from hotels or hostels.
07:00 am. Breakfast in Capuliyoc ( not included).
08:00 am. Start of the Walk to Chiquiska.
11:30 pm. Arrival to Chiquiska, lunchtime.
12:30 pm. We continue to Playa Rosalina.
1:30 pm. Rosalina beach towards Marampata in Caballos.
6:00 pm. Arrive at Marampata Camp.
7:00 pm. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2
Marampata - Choquequirao – Marampata

04:30 am Breakfast in Marampata.
05:00 am Walk from “Marampata” to Choquequirao (2 h approx) guided tour and free time in “Choquequirao” until 4:00 pm.                                             1:30 pm Lunchtime in the Choquequirao esplanade.
4:00 pm Return to Marampata.
6:00 pm Arrival to Marampata.
7:00 pm Dinner and overnight.

Day 3
Marampata – Chiquiska – Capuliyoq

06:00 am Breakfast.
07:00 am Start of the Marampata Walk to Chiquiska.
11:00 am Arrival to Chiquiska and Lunch.
1:30 pm We continue to Horse Last Section Until Capuliyoq.
4:30 pm Arrive at Capulilloq (Last Camp).
6:00 pm Dinner and Farewell Time for Team Members.

Day 4
Capuliyoq – Cachora – Cusco

07:00 am Breakfast time.
08:00 am Capuliyoq walk to the town of Cachora ( Optional ).
10:00 am Return to the City of Cusco.
2:00 p.m. Arrival to the City of Cusco

Recommendations:

The tour that takes place on this hike is located between the Apurimac Canyon, with a large number of reliefs and views, which makes it very scenic and also demanding. To make this excursion smoothly, it is essential to wear good hiking shoes, waterproof clothing, thermal clothing. Bring sunglasses, sunscreen, small backpack, canteen, trekking poles, extra batteries, flashlight, and bring extra money to rent the horses in the area if necessary. EVERYTHING THAT THE TOURIST DECIDES TO CARRY CAN ONLY WEIGH UP TO 5 KILOS INCLUDING THE SLEEPING BAG.
